FAQ

How long is the workshop?

The workshop consists of two sessions, each lasting approximately 4 hours (for a total of 8 hours). Session 1 is scheduled for Saturday, September 30th, and Session 2 will be on Sunday, October 1st.

Where will the workshop take place?

The workshop will be hosted on Zoom.

What is the refund policy?

You may receive a full refund for your purchase any time before 9/23/23 12:00 AM UTC-0500 (7 days before the workshop).

We cannot issue a refund less than 7 days before the event. When you purchase a seat, you are holding a spot that could be occupied by someone else. The 7-day period gives someone on our waitlist enough time to claim your seat.

If a refund is issued, it will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase. We cannot issue a refund to a different credit or debit card (this includes refund requests made through the self-service option). If your credit card or debit card number has changed, but is for the same account (e.g., a new card has been issued for the same account), the refund will be processed to that account.

Why does the workshop cost money?

This workshop involves Dr. K's dedicated time and expertise. It's a live, interactive experience where you get direct access to Dr. K and valuable resources.

The price of $200 allots you 8 hours worth of in-depth guidance from Dr. K, a licensed psychiatrist, where it would cost you between $100-200 for just one hour of a professional's time in a therapy setting, or otherwise. Though this is not a replacement for therapy, you'll be getting valuable information that will help you understand your trauma, as well as expert resources and strategies.

Plus, your investment will allow us to continue offering these workshops, and supports our ongoing efforts to provide mental health resources and support.

When will we be receiving the Zoom link for the event?

The Zoom link will be sent out 5 days before the event on 9/25/23 12pm CT.

If you do not receive a link by this date, please contact us at support@healthygamer.gg.

How is this different from stream?

In this workshop, you're not just watching a video or stream. It's a hands-on experience where you'll engage directly with Dr. K and other participants.

You'll receive practical worksheets to apply what you learn, and the chance to ask your questions in real-time.

And it doesn't end when the workshop does! You'll get tools and support to continue your journey towards better mental health.

Is the workshop considered a consultation or medical advice?

This workshop is intended for educational purposes only. It's an opportunity to get a better understanding of trauma, learn some skills to manage it, and ask Dr. K any questions you have on the topic. This is not a consultation, and none of the information provided by Dr. K should be taken as medical advice.

Is the workshop covered by insurance?

The workshop is not currently covered by insurance.

Who is the workshop appropriate for?

The workshop is appropriate for anyone who is overcoming their own trauma, interested in understanding the experiences of a loved one, or just wants to learn more about the topic!

Can we ask questions through text?

Though we recommend asking your questions out loud (as this is Dr. K's preferred style for Q&A), we will have mods fielding questions from the chat too.

Will the workshop be recorded? If so, will it be released publicly?

The workshop itself will be recorded, however we have not determined if we will be releasing the recording publicly at this time.

Will there be more workshops in the future?

We don't have plans for future workshops at the moment. However, depending on how this one goes and the interest we receive, we may consider planning more in the future.

As always, community participation and feedback will play a significant role in shaping what comes next!

How many people will be attending?

There are 250 seats for the workshop. So, there will be up to 249 others + Dr. K :)

Is this an opportunity for one-on-one time with Dr. K?

Dr. K will be lecturing and providing educational resources on trauma, and all attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

However, this is not one-on-one time with Dr. K, and there is no guarantee that he will get to everyone's questions (though, he will try his very best!).
