What to Look for in a Coach Profile
Between burnout, inbox overload, and debating whether that text needs a smiley face or a full paragraph, making another decision can feel like a lot. We get it. That’s why each HG coach profile is short, clear, and actually helpful—so you can figure out who feels like the right fit without needing to overthink it. Here's what you should pay attention to as you review Coach profiles:

Specialties that match the support you want

Coaching styles that fits your personality
---

Experience and credentials
Coaching isn’t advice-giving—it’s a professional skill. The profile shares what kind of training the coach has had and how long they’ve been doing this work.
---

Tone and language
Do they speak in a way that resonates with you? A coach’s words can tell you a lot about how they think and connect.
And, a few things that don't matter as much...

Whether they seem “perfect” or have a polished social media presence

Similar struggles or lived experiences

Shared careers, background, or interests
---
💡Finding the right fit takes time—don’t stress if it’s not perfect right away.
It’s totally normal for the first few sessions to feel like a warm-up. If something feels off or isn’t clicking, talk to your coach—let them know what’s working, what’s not, and how you learn best. Coaches really want your feedback so they can tailor their approach to you.
And if it still doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s okay. You can always request to switch coaches—your growth is what matters most, and we’re here to help you find the support that works for you.
